Because the need is great
These services are there for you!
Over the years, we have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and solid experience.
In order to provide caregivers with the best possible support and meet their needs,
we have developed a significant range of services.
SUPPORT GROUP
Hosted by a facilitator, this bi-monthly activity is designed to allow people coping with similar situations to share and exchange their experiences. The group process provides respite to participants to experiment and share different ways to do and to be and foster inner feelings of balance and stability.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS
The programs provide specific and up-to-date information for family members to deepen their knowledge of mental health and to be aware of the impacts of mental illness. Being aware of the impacts helps to reduce the consequences.
CONFERENCES
Monthly awareness or information evenings on mental illness; open to the public, including our public and community-based partners.
PSYCHOSOCIAL INTERVENTIONS
Individual, couples and family counselling on a situation or issue related to mental illness: grieving, communication and problem solving are a few examples.
RESPITE ACTIVITIES
Recreational and well-being activities that provide a moment of relaxation and pleasure, allowing participants an escape from their concerns.
REQUEST FOR A PSYCHIATRIC ASSESSMENT
You are worried about the safety of a loved one. You have reason to believe that the person is an imminent threat to him/herself or others. The person refuses to receive psychiatric care. A counselor accompanies you through the process of a psychiatric assessment request. These counselling services consist of providing you with the right information, assessing the level of severity and immanency of danger, assisting you in drafting the request and supporting you during this difficult time.
